    NO extra shelves
    Lots of closets

    I am so disappointed that they no longer sell extra shelves for this organizer. I bought THREE of these organizer sets last year and now I want more shelves but can't get them. I'm stuck because no other shelves fit without going to the time and expense of having them custom made. Won't be using Closet Maid for future closets. Shelves are important!!!

    BEST fit for the budget

    I bought one of these for a guest room closet where I keep all of my business clothes. Fit great, easy to assemble, and I got EXTRA SHELVES!!! I purchased two top shelves and used the extra length to cut additional shelves for the unit. Easy, easy! Also added 3 drawers. Looks and works great!

    Easy to install, nice looking and it seems sturdy enough. But be aware they don't sell extra shelves for this kit. Other shelves from other Closetmaid products do not work for this kit because they have slightly different dimensions and they will simply not fit. Why call this product a Starter Kit if you cannot add something as basic as an extra shelf?

    Great system for the price

    Several years ago we installed the starter kit in our son's closet and loved it so much that we have since installed the system in 2 other bedroom closets. You can't beat it for the price. Just sorry that the light wood color has been discontinued and that only white is currently available. Great for keeping sweaters/sweatshirts neatly organized and I love the fact that the legs go all the way to the ground, making another "shelf" at floor level. it's basic, but it works.

    Originally purchased the narrower unit which was missing a dowel pin but completed unit build without. Recently purchased two 16" units. The first again without one dowel. Two draw units had a dowel missing a more importantly it was short of a draw runner fixing screw. The units are good but there is a problem with quality control on the fixings.

    Let me preface by saying that I am an amateur when it comes to putting together these kind of things. I was quite apprehensive venturing into this project. But, quite frankly, Closetmaid turned out be the simplest and most amateur-friendly installation I have ever done in my life. Yes, in my life. I put together closets in three bedrooms, spent quite a bit of money on it but each closet, both walk-ins and non-walk-ins looks just great, provided us with abundant storage solutions and changed the look of the closets. I highly recommend all Selectives line of Closetmaid stuff and will consider buying them in future too.

    I purchased this organizer for our master closet, along with the corner shelf system and I LOVE it. It worked wonders for our only shaped and difficult to organize closet. I highly recommend this product. We have already purchased additional Selectives closet systems for our daughters' closets and installed the 11" organizer in our laundry room.

    Ok quality, no extra shelf availability

    I recently purchased this unit and while the quality is ok and the setup was easy, I'm very disappointed because the number of shelves that the piece comes with is the number you're stuck with. After assembling the closet, I decided I wanted more shelving. The shelves are not sold individually and even though the instructions said to call customer service should I need to order more parts, that was not true. Customer service said that there were no shelves they could send me regardless of whether or not I paid for them. All in all, it's an ok closet system, but I DEFINITELY would have bought something else had I known I wouldn't be able to get more shelves.
