Poor design and weak instructions

Really don't like the design of the drywall mount going over the bracket and then a nail being driven through it. Couldn't this be a normal drywall mount under the bracket with a screwing going through both like every other thing I've ever mounted to drywall. Doesn't inspire a lot of confidence. The instructions to achieve this install are severely lacking as well.

Easy to work with

I've used ClosetMaid wire shelving in fixed and HangTrack configurations for many years and I'm always satisfied with the quality of the components and the ease of installation. These wall brackets have changed in design over the years and I think this version is one of the best. Since the anchors are separate, it saves a lot of time - and fingertips - not having to cut them off when installing over studs. Reading directions is vital as is looking carefully at the illustrations on the package where it clearly shows that the anchor is fed through the front of the bracket before being installed on the wall.

Instructions Sadly Lacking

According to the instructions on the back of the package, you "place an anchor into each drilled hole in the wall. replace wall bracket on front lip of shelf and raise to align with holes. Secure with screws." This makes it seem like you put the anchors into the wall directly and then put the bracket over it and then put the pins through. If you do that, the pin head is too small and the bracket falls right off. The packaging also shows a screw instead of a pin. The image on the mfg website shows that you actually put the anchors through the hole in the bracket, and then into the wall. Figuring this out caused a lot of frustration. Disappointing product and instructions for what should be an easy install.
